Image: In my plans I have decided to create the contents page so it was half text and half image. After creating a contents page based on this original plan the above was my outcome. The images I chose to use were all music related with them either being someone singing or of someone playing in a band. I overlapped the images for a creative look which relates to my reader profile as creativity is an interest to my readers. when editing the pictures I then needed to create a balance between bright pictures and those which were dim lighted or dark. with a ratio of 5:3 the pictures are mostly bight but by having dark fonts and titles the page balances out into neutral.

Text: on a contents page generically isn't structured as a sentence but a short phrase which sums up the page it leads to but in a way that makes it sound interesting or hides the truth to make it sound better. i used a lot of the commonly used excitement words such as 'New', 'Amazing' and 'Latest', these make the reader think they have the newest information that they can then go and amaze people with in social interactions. For the magazine to keep its theme i had to carry on selecting the best fonts that stand out against each other and that look edgy and exciting enough to fit in with the magazine company's overall style. The numbers had to be designed so to stand out against their picture as every number was placed onto the image it related to. In order to make it visible sometimes the background colour and the text colour had to be reversed.

Layout: the overall layout of the contents page was basic being that image was down one side and text was down the other.  The two coexist well with each other and everything that is meant to be seen is visible and all that it supposed to grab attention does such as the subheadings stand out against the photos with their quirky boarder and distorted font choice. When it came to actually making the contents page I had not predetermined that I would decide to make the title in the way that I did, I have not seen this style in a contents before but i decided to try having 'Inside' three times as opposed to the conventional single title. I even went with the layout of what I think looks like a track list of the content. overall in conclusion I feel that the contents page works well and fits within the decisions of my planning.
