Front cover Final product

Image: I had decided in my planning that i would use one main image and two smaller images that complimented eachother. The main image being powerful and reflects the readers. I think that this image got accross those values well as the girl 'Alice' is the age of the intended reader and holds the image and values of the readers also. With the genre of the magazine being a rock/ alternative any music pictures that were included would need to either be bands of this style or singers of this style which in all three pictures these choices have been upheld. The two smaller photos were of people that are in bands but the main image is not a singer and isnt actually the type of person that is fit to the audience so I had to make her appear this way.

Text: Almost every word on the front cover was done in a different font to make sure that all areas stood out from eachother and had an element of appeal each. To prioritise the text I had to make the most important text the largest and with the most creative attention grabbing font I could find.  All of the chosen fonts had to fit within the style of the magazine which i think the chosen fonts did well.

Layout: To make each area stand out and the over all look not feel to cramp and compact each word was boxed off and the smaller images and text were overlapped. I decided that i did not want to much of the text to cover the main image so to avoid cramming. I was then left with an area of white that needed to be either filled or made unoticeable. To acheive this i added into the cover paint sprays which is also appropriate for the audience these filled all plain areas and gave the cover a new look which was further appropriate and more edgey and different.
