Double page spread

Text: To make my text audience appropriate I made sure it was chatty and engaging in order to make it readable as the intended audience is young. The main bulk of text needed to be all about the band and where to see them as well as a small portion of gossip to engage the slightly different parts of the intended audience. The text i had also planned to include music related terminology to show interest and appeal to those who are part of the music path. In comparison with the plan the layout of the text is different as it covers both pages but is still presented in columns for easy reading and a generic look.

Image: the look of the magazine is designed to fit with the overall image and style of the band and the members themselves. I used a basic freehand drawing look to represent the innocence and ammature nature of the band as they are young members and only just starting out again in the music business. I decided that neither of the images I used should have a background to them because that would change the look and appeal of the page, so i edited each image to have no background and a bright overall look.

Layout: In comparison with the plan the layout of the final product has changed allot. initially the picture was supposed to cover one page and the text the other giving a balanced ratio between the two. When actually making the magazine, the image was moved to cover more equally across the page and the text was created to make a staircase look and fit around the image. I kept the previous plans choices that focused on the generics of a double page spread such as the headline being at the top of the page and a subheading just underneath I also did not change the subheading i had already decided upon as it was liked by the band who are in reality part of the intended audience.
